Oksana Schubert is a senior software engineering performance improvement consultant with more than 20 years experience delivering high-quality software-intensive products that meet or exceed customer quality, cost and time-to-market requirements.
Oksana is a former Visiting Scientist to the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University specializing in Software Engineering Measurement and Analysis (SEMA) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). She has a masters degree from Carnegie Mellon in Software Engineering.

Oksana’s solid academic background and experience with the SEI in Software Measurement and Analysis and her role in forming the Performance Benchmarking Consortium makes her uniquely qualified to assist with organizational performance benchmarking. Benchmark data can be used to provide a definable set of metrics for performance in agile contracts written between a vendor and customer who wish to work together using agile and Lean approaches to software development.
Oksana has done specific research at the SEI on software acquisition which gives her a valuable background in both selecting vendors and in responding to requests for proposals. Her skills enable two companies wishing to collaborate to normalize their metrics and performance measures breaking down the barriers between them and enabling them to work together.
Oksana has experience with the SEI’s GQIM (Goal Quality Indicator Metric) methodology designed to align corporate strategic goals with operational measures designed to optimize the use of software engineering resources and enable better decision making and resource allocation.
With her background at the SEI and as a Visiting Scientist on the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) she is an expert on applying CMMI to achieve high maturity.
